The holiday season is a time for giving, and this year, Estrada Law Group (ELG) was proud to collaborate with Integrated Medical Center DTLA (iMed) to bring joy to students at Estrella Elementary School in South Los Angeles. A Toy Drive for a Worthy Cause
The event was held at Estrella Elementary School, serving a diverse community of students who often face unique challenges. This year, Principal Paula Paulino selected approximately 15 students based on specific criteria, ensuring the drive focused on those who needed it most. The chosen children included foster kids, those coping with the loss of a parent, and others enduring financial hardships. Most of the participants were 4th and 5th graders, although the toy drive’s reach extended to younger students as well.
A Classroom Transformed into a Winter Wonderland
Thanks to the support of parents, a classroom at the school was transformed into a festive wonderland. Adorned with a vibrant Christmas balloon garland and festive decor, the space radiated holiday cheer.. The atmosphere set the perfect backdrop for the gift exchange, allowing the students to momentarily forget their challenges and experience the magic of the season.
Isaac Estrada from ELG brought the role of Santa Claus to life, donning the iconic red suit and white beard to bring smiles to the children. Meanwhile, iMed’s staff added to the holiday spirit by dressing as cheerful elves, helping create a heartwarming and immersive experience for everyone involved.
Reaching Every Student
For those in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, the joy extended beyond the gift exchange. ELG and iMed staff visited classrooms to hand out candy canes and share holiday cheer. The younger students, wide-eyed with excitement, eagerly participated, creating unforgettable moments filled with laughter and gratitude.
Unfortunately, a few selected students missed the event because they were attending science camp in the Angeles Forest. However, the spirit of giving remained strong as ELG ensured these children still received their gifts.
